What it is
This generator makes invoices, quotes, receipts, pro forma invoices, credit notes and commercial invoices in your browser, plus a signature generator and blank Word, Excel and PDF templates. You fill in seven short steps and download a PDF. Where a country requires it, the editor can also create an e-invoice file on your device.
Why we built it
Most freelancers and small businesses just want to send a correct invoice and get paid. Many online tools ask for an account first, add a watermark, limit the number of documents or quietly upload your client list. We wanted the opposite:
- Fast: start typing straight away, with no sign-up and a draft that saves itself.
- Free: no watermark, no usage limit, logo included.
- Private: your documents are processed and stored only in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account.
- Country-aware: choose your country and tax status, and the verdict card tells you whether the document is a valid invoice there for that customer, which fields are required, which tax rates apply and which legal notes belong on it.
How it is funded
The site is funded by advertising, shown only after you agree in the consent banner. We do not sell data, and we could not: we never receive your documents. If you decline ads and analytics, every feature still works. Details are in the privacy policy.
How we research the rules
Every country rule in the editor, from required fields to tax rates and legal notes, is based on an official source such as a tax authority page or the law itself. Each rule records its source and the date it was last verified, and each has a date by which it must be checked again. The rules were last checked on 24 October 2026. Country pages, such as the UK invoice template, list the sources.
Where something is only announced and not yet law, we say so. Where a rule is unclear, we warn rather than guess.
What we don’t do
We do not file tax returns, give tax advice or send anything to tax authorities, Peppol or other e-invoicing networks. You send your documents yourself, by e-mail, messaging app or a provider of your choice.
